Job Title: Paraeducator (SPED & Library)
Location: Hastings, NE
Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule: 9-Month Position | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (hours may vary)
Type: Temp-to-Hire

Are you passionate about supporting students and making a difference in their daily learning experience? Associated Staffing is hiring SPED Paraeducators and Library Paraeducators to assist teachers and help students thrive in a positive, hands-on learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with activities and learning skills initiated by the teacher.

• Support students with physical and/or mental disabilities as needed.

• Work with students individually or in small groups providing guidance and supervision.

• Assist with paperwork, records and preparation of instructional materials.

• Provide support with bathroom and changing needs when required.

• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, play periods and field trips.

• Help arrange learning centers, display student work and use manipulatives to enhance learning.

• Maintain composure in unique or stressful situations.

• Participate in in-service training programs and perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or principal.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Basic knowledge of childhood growth and development.

• Ability to effectively supervise children and follow instructions.

• Strong communication and writing skills.

• Computer proficiency and ability to work in an in-person learning environment.

• Professional appearance and ability to work well with students, staff and parents.

• Must complete Project Para training (provided) unless you have 48 hours of college coursework.
