About Us
Prairie Loft provides hands-on, place-based learning experiences that connect people of all ages to agriculture, the environment, and community heritage. Through field trips, summer camps, family programs, and community events, Prairie Loft inspires curiosity, strengthens cultural connections, and encourages the wise use of natural resources. Each year, thousands of youth and adults from across the region take part in our educational programs and events, including Flatwater Music Festival each June.
In addition to programming, Prairie Loft offers unique facility rentals for businesses, organizations, and professional gatherings. Our renovated barns and meeting spaces provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop for:
- Corporate retreats and workshops
- Conferences and board meetings
- Networking receptions and trainings
- Holiday parties and staff appreciation events
Just minutes from downtown Hastings, Prairie Loft combines the beauty of a natural prairie setting with the functionality of modern amenities, including climate-controlled meeting spaces for 17-100 people, Big R’s commercial kitchen, audio/visual capabilities, and ADA accessibility.
